Arrest in Kim Richmond murder case

Kim Richmond was a keen sportswoman


Waikato Police have this afternoon arrested a 45-year-old Waikato man and charged him with murder in relation to the death of Kim Louise Richmond of Arohena Waikato. 

Ms Richmond's body was found inside a Ford Ranger ute which police recovered from Lake Arapuni in the Waikato on Thursday.

She had been missing since 31 July 2016 when she was last seen getting into her into her Ford Ranger.

Ms Richmond was an ex-Playcentre and PTA member, keen sportswoman, mother of three young school aged children, and a farming partner. 

Police and the family would like to thank the public and media for their
assistance during the investigation into her disappearance. 
 
The arrested man will appear in the Hamilton Court on Tuesday 20 June 2017.
