ONE Championship will be coming to North American television screens in 2019.

The Singapore-based martial arts promotion confirmed that they have reached a multi-year agreement with Turner Sports, as per an official press release.

“Turner Sports has reached a three-year partnership with ONE Championship (ONE), the world’s largest martial arts organisation and the biggest global sports media property in Asian history, to distribute its live event coverage in the United States. Per terms of the agreement, B/R Live – Turner’s live sports streaming service – will be the primary destination for ONE Championship live events each year. B/R Live will present its first live ONE Championship event on Saturday, Jan. 19, with 24 overall events scheduled in 2019.”

According to the release, TNT will televise at least twelve, one-hour, taped re-airs featuring ONE Championship events every year as well.

“ONE Championship is one of the most popular mixed martial arts organizations in the world, with a high concentration of passionate, millennial fans that make it a perfect fit for B/R Live and TNT. We will leverage every opportunity within our portfolio to partner with ONE Championship and help further expand its footprint in the U.S,” said Turner Sports president Lenny Daniels.

“We are thrilled to partner with Turner Sports, a truly iconic industry leader of premium sports content, to bring authentic, world-class martial arts action to American fans. As the Home of Martial Arts, ONE Championship has a simple formula of values, heroes, and stories that have resonated deeply across the globe. We look forward to showcasing the greatest martial artists in the world,” added ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

Sityodtong also announced the partnership on his official Facebook page.

“I'm thrilled to announce a multiyear partnership between ONE Championship and Turner Sports to showcase the world's greatest martial artists in action on TNT and B/R Live in the US,” Sityodtong’s post read. “For those of you who don't know, Turner Sports is home to some of the world's most iconic sports properties like NBA, MLB, PGA, UEFA Champions League, and many others in the US.”

Sityodtong hinted at the possibility of ONE Championship reaching a deal with a US television broadcaster earlier this month on an interview with Ariel Helwani of ESPN.

The massive deal comes after ONE’s landmark acquisitions of stars who have made names for themselves in North America, including former multiple-time lightweight world champion Eddie “The Underground King” Alvarez, former long-time flyweight world champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson, and rising star “Super” Sage Northcutt.

ONE Championship debuts with Turner Sports with their first card for 2019, ONE: ETERNAL GLORY which features a ONE Strawweight World Championship bout between reigning Filipino titleholder Joshua “The Passion” Pacio and dangerous Japanese challenger Hayato Suzuki.

The card will take place at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia.
