Tornado outbreak happening now across parts of USA

 

Around 90 Million Americans are in the way of storms and tornadoes right now, says WeatherWatch.co.nz

Around April and May tornado season in the US typically peaks and the set up today has already created a number of tornadoes with more expected to form over the next 24 hours or so.

"The line of thunderstorms is impressive, stretching from the Gulf of Mexico right up to the Great Lakes and have continued overnight and across Monday (New Zealand time/Sunday US time).

WeatherWatch.co.nz says dozens of tornadoes have been reported in Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Ohio, Georgia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and the Carolinas and now Florida.

In the past 20 minutes (as of 8:49am NZT) 4 new tornadoes had been confirmed: Two in Florida and one in Ohio and one in South Carolina.
