Couple killed on weekend crash named

Police have named two women killed in a crash in Canterbury over the weekend.

They were Fox McCrossin, 58, and her wife, Joan McCrossin, 56, of Victoria, Australia.

The collision happened on Sunday at Main South Road in Bankside, Selwyn just before 9am. It involved a truck and several other vehicles.

The collision took out a power pole.

Police offered their condolences to their family and friends.

An investigation into the circumstances of the crash is continuing.
