A Christchurch doctor has been found guilty of 12 charges of sexual offences against patients.
In the Christchurch District Court, Judge Jane Farish found Rakesh Kumar Chawdhry guilty of 11 charges of indecent assault and one of sexual violation.
He faced 15 charges of indecent assault and one charge of sexual violation, involving 14 men.
The offending happened between October 2011 and December 2015, and involved complainants who were visiting the Riccarton Clinic for medical exams in which Dr Chawdry carried out genital examinations.
Dr Chawdhry denied the offending, claiming he was carrying out legitimate medical procedures.
Detective Senior Sergeant Neville Jenkins said police wanted to recognise the courage of victims for coming forward.
He said police were making enquiries into several new complainants, and they encouraged anyone who may have had similar experiences, or concerns, to contact them.
