There will be screams of delight for a Lotto player from Dargaville after winning $1 million with Lotto First Division in tonight's live Lotto draw.

The winning ticket was sold at Countdown Dargaville in Dargaville.

Powerball was not struck this evening and has rolled over to Wednesday night, where the jackpot will be $6 million.

Meanwhile, Strike Four was won by a player in Canterbury, who takes home $100,000. The winning Strike ticket was sold on MyLotto.

Every day thousands of Kiwis around the country volunteer their time to help make sport happen.

Tonight's live draw featured Elliot a policeman of a small Hokianga town who went beyond the call of duty and set up a free boxing gym for his community. To say thanks, Elliot and the kids of Kohukohu School were treated to a one-on-one training session with boxing legend Shane Cameron.

Each year, Lotto funding is used to support thousands of community projects around New Zealand, including all levels of sport - and its volunteers like Elliot who help make it happen!

Anyone who bought their ticket from either of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at or through the Lotto NZ App.
